    Opti-Clad UV-curable, low-refractive-index polymer solutions are available in a range of viscosities. The optically clear products are offered in refractive indexes from 1.36 to 1.49. According to the manufacturer, the solutions may be applied to even the finest singlemode glass fibers as a low-cost replacement for more-expensive silica cladding.
