GST Telecommunications Inc. (Vancouver, WA) entered into a fiber-swap agreement with FTV

GST Telecommunications Inc. (Vancouver, WA) entered into a fiber-swap agreement with FTV Communications LLC, a three-company consortium, to expand GST`s network backbone. FTV will also purchase fiber on the Sacramento, CA-to-Portland, OR, route currently under construction by GST and Pacific Fiber Link LLC (Blaine, WA). Under the agreement, GST will swap fiber on its 745-mi California long-haul network, which connects GST`s local networks from Los Angeles to Sacramento, in exchange for fiber on FTV`s 1714-mi western route.
