As a result of a joint construction project by AmTec Inc. and Hebei Cable Television Station to build a fiber-optic and microwave network connecting local cable system operators in the province of Hebei, People`s Republic of China, the Hebei Cable Television Station has recently initiated broadcasting. AmTec and Hebei Cable Television Station are building the province-wide broadband network connecting operators in Hebei`s 11 largest cities. The first two channels are general news and a sports channel and are being broadcast over microwave until construction of the fiber-optic portion is complete. Two new channels are expected next year.
