Access system

The AnyMedia Access System upgrades service providers` capabilities while shrinking the size of the standard digital loop carrier. The basis of the system is the Flexible Access Services Terminal (fast), which provides network access using any medium--fiber, twisted-pair copper, or wireless. The platform works in central offices and remote environments, and operates with various network configurations, including metallic digital loop carrier, fiber-to-the-serving-area, fiber-in-the-loop, and fiber-to-the-home. The terminal uses atm technology to deliver narrowband services to the home.
