Preterminated rack-mount shelves

Preterminated fiber-optic shelves can be mounted in any standard 19- or 23-inch frame. The shelves are available with 12 to 96 ports, using either singlemode or multimode cable. Connector styles include SC, sc/apc, FC, fc/apc, or ST. Pretermination shelves involve connectorizing any multifiber cable and pre-installing the cable into a 7-inch-tall shelf. Each cable is then tested for insertion loss and backreflection, and each connector endface is measured with an interferometer to ensure compliance to Bellcore specifications. Backreflection measurements of > -55 dB are guaranteed on all flat connectors, and measurements of > -65 dB are guaranteed on angled connectors.
