Finisar 10G Tunable BiDi SFP+ Transceiver with T2DOC™ Technology

Feb. 21, 2018
This asserts this device is the industry's first tunable BiDi SFP+ transceiver, helping to meet network densification requirements and resolve increasing fiber constraints in cable, metro-access, and wireless networks. The novel dual-band bidirectional DWDM architecture fits one pair of upstream and downstream channels into a 100-GHz band.

The novel dual-band bidirectional DWDM architecture fits one pair of upstream and downstream channels into a 100-GHz band.

The transceiver's T2DOC™ technology enables self-wavelength tuning of remote modules during initialization to simplify field installation and avoid manual configuration and potential human errors.

Judge's Comment: "I like the reduction of operational expenses - end to end control channel, self-optimizing, easier deployment, sparing - along with the ability to get more value from installed physical infrastructure."
