Bahamas Telecommunication Corp., Nassau, plans to invest $26 million in a fiber-optic cable that will extend about 200 km from Vero Beach, FL, to the western end of Grand Bahama Island. Nine other companies, including AT&T, Sprint, and MCI, will share cable costs.
