Cajun Switch Core provides switching functions, queue management, and high-speed packet forwarding for ultrahigh capacity, high-density switching (greater than 20 Gbits/sec) for campus network architectures. The system supports management of multiple queues, dynamic multicast switching in hardware and software, flexible vlan architecture, multilayer switching, and fault-tolerant switching elements.
