Norlight Telecommunications, a Wisconsin-based subsidiary of Journal Communications, Inc., has selected Nortel, Richardson, TX, to supply its TransportNode OC-192 systems for a fiber-optic network in Wisconsin. Norlight`s new Sonet network will provide enterprise-network services and serve as the foundation for BadgerNet, a project to create a new State of Wisconsin telecommunications infrastructure.
