Biccor of Singapore, an equity venture between Corning Inc., Corning, NY, and bicc Cables Asia-Pacific Pte., has formed a company with the United Communications Group for the manufacture of fiber-optic cable in Thailand. The new entity, bicc ucom Cables Co. Ltd., will manufacture the cables for telecommunications applications in the Asia-Pacific region.
