Celcom Timur (Sabah) of Malaysia will construct a fiber-optic Synchronous Digital Hierarchy

Celcom Timur (Sabah) of Malaysia will construct a fiber-optic Synchronous Digital Hierarchy backbone for its cellular network. The backbone also will be used for terrestrial communications. Olex Cables, Victoria, Australia, a division of Pacific Dunlop Ltd., will provide more than 800 km of 12- and 24-fiber cable worth A$5 million for the project.
