April 20, 2005 Fort Myers, FL -- Crystek Crystals, a manufacturer of frequency control products, has launched its CVSS-940 True SineWave Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator (VCXO), which, according to the company, provides -150-dBc/Hz noise floor and +/-50-ppm minimum APR pullability. The device comes in an industry-standard 9-mm x 14-mm SMD package.
According to the company, the CVSS-940 generates frequencies between 77.760 MHz and 500 MHz, with an output level of 0 dBm (min.) into 50 ohms, and harmonics lower than -20 dBc. The device consumes 25 mA typical and 30 mA maximum current at 3.3V. The company says the device features low or no sub-harmonics depending upon frequency, owing to the company's Inverted Mesa (High Frequency Fundamental Crystal) technology.
The company says the VCXO is ideal for telecom applications including 10 Gigabit Ethernet and broadband services networks, as well as SONET/SDH/DWD, network switch, and ATM communications. For industrial uses, the device can be made to custom specifications including extended operating temperature ranges of -40°C to +85°C.
The device is priced in volume starting at $24 each, depending on specification.
