October 10, 2005 Minneapolis, MN -- In a strategic distribution agreement, KGP Telecommunications has selected ADC's OmniReach product line as its premium FTTX offering for its Network Sales business unit, serving non-RBOC markets. KGP's featured OmniReach products will include wavelength division multiplexers, fiber distribution terminals, and fiber access terminals, including the recently introduced OmniReach Multi-Fiber Service Terminal (MST).

"The MST is yet another example of ADC's innovation and responsiveness to customer requirements in the FTTX marketplace," comments John Grubb, vice president of network sales and marketing for KGP. "We have seen a wide variety of customers interested in deploying this technology to aid in the rapid deployment of fiber services to their customers."

Designed for use in optical access networks, ADC's MST features the company's "ruggedized" OptiTap connector housings. Available in 2-, 4-, 6-, 8-, and 12 port options, the MST is designed to withstand a wide variety of outside plant conditions, according to the company.

"KGP selected ADC because OmniReach solutions are the right choice for their customers," remarks Tom Kampf, director of product management for ADC's FTTX Solutions unit. "This line is designed from the ground-up to meet the unique requirements of FTTX networks. By building network infrastructures upon ADC's OmniReach solutions, service providers accelerate deployment, maximize operational efficiency, and make their FTTX plans a reality."

The distributor says it plans to offer stocked quantities of the OmniReach platform, as well as other ADC products.
