Algeria Telecom picks Huawei optical equipment

November 23, 2005 Shenzhen, China -- Huawei has won a bid to provide next-generation transmission network equipment for the construction of Algeria Telecom's backbone transmission network.

November 23, 2005 Shenzhen, China -- Huawei has won a bid to provide next-generation transmission network equipment for the construction of Algeria Telecom's backbone transmission network.

The network, covering all territories within Algeria, will employ Huawei's ASON-based OptiX OSN platform, OptiX Metro series, and OptiX BWS series optical network transmission equipment.

Algeria Telecom is the largest integrated telecommunications operator in Algeria.
