"Building on a long-time relationship, the DoD continues to demonstrate its trust in Sprint's ability to meet its unique communications needs," asserts Tony D'Agata, vice president and general manager of Sprint's government systems division (GSD). "This additional connectivity will help the DoD meet the growing needs of its agencies."

The carrier's GSD, based in Reston, VA, offers a range of wireless and wireline services for federal and state government customers, including managed network and security services, mobility platforms, and IP technology. The carrier claims to be the only one offering government agencies entirely private IP connectivity, unconnected to the public Internet, for maximum network security.
