Source Photonics recently announced the general availability of 100G SFP112 product family supporting 500m to 40km distances. Since launching the 50G SFP56 transceiver product family in 2022, Source Photonics has once again commercialized the industrial smallest form factor 100G SFP112 product series this year, supporting 100G extended reach with 100Gbps serial electrical interfaces. The 100G SFP112 family of products launched this time leverages the single lambda 53GBaud EML laser developed in-house for 100G PAM4 signaling. It supports the latest serial 100G transmission through PAM4 encoding, including full-range optical SMF specifications such as DR, FR, LR, and ER per the latest industry standards. It covers transmission distances from 500m, 2km, 10km up to 40km. These products fully take advantage of Source Photonics’ self-developed 53G EML laser chips, which reduce the power consumption of 100G optical modules to below 2W.

Judge’s Comment: “Source Photonics simplifies optical transmission over four or two wavelength options.”
