Teramount’s TeraVERSE provides a detachable and serviceable fiber connectivity solution for Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) and helps reduce operational and manufacturing expenses. Thanks to TeraVERSE's self-aligning optical scheme, the solution offers large fiber assembly tolerances, which make CPO Detachability a reality. With detachability, fibers are connected to the CPO package only after all reflows,  increasing CPO manufacturing yield and driving down CPO packaging costs. Detachability enables the capability to perform in-field serviceability of faulty fibers in an AI/HPC server or a high-bandwidth switch, increasing the system's lifetime, which reduces both CAPEX and OPEX. TeraVERSE provides a wideband surface coupling with the customer PIC, which enables Wafer-level testability of the PIC, increasing the PIC and overall CPO package manufacturing yield and reducing packaging costs.

Judge’s Comment: “This device solves a critical problem for achieving low-cost, high-yield CPO optics.”
