Nubis Communications, Inc.: XT1600 High-Density Linear Optical Engine

Feb. 21, 2024
The Nubis XT1600 combines a familiar copper-like usage model with bandwidth, density, weight, and reach improvements in optical interconnect.

The Nubis XT1600 combines a familiar copper-like usage model with bandwidth, density, weight, and reach improvements in optical interconnect. This functionality unlocks new revenue sources for the largest ML/AI installations. The Nubis XT1600 High-Density Optical Engine provides as much bandwidth as the ASIC can drive, unblocking the full benefits of a cluster.  It also boasts a smaller size and lower power consumption. The XT1600 is superior in low power consumption at < 6 pJ/bit. Nubis XT1600 works for both intra-node and inter-node. It enables more accelerators at higher bandwidth within the shelf and minimizes the bandwidth bottleneck between nodes.

Judge’s Comment: “An interesting new optical engine product utilizing a radically new approach.”
