AFL Hyperscale rebrands to AFL

Feb. 6, 2024
With the new brand, the hyperscale unit will focus on sustainability and growing hyperscale-focused operations.

AFL Hyperscale has started a new chapter by rebranding to AFL, a move it says will focus on scaling its business to appeal to large data center companies and their cloud computing company customers.

Since AFL Hyperscale was founded in 2018, the business unit has created differentiated network solutions for data center interconnection and white space.

One of its key achievements was introducing A.I. thought leadership in fiber network design for the physical layer.

By creating a unified brand for the hyperscale business, AFL aims to achieve two key goals: prioritize sustainability and grow hyperscale operations.

As hyperscale data centers grow, the need to have sustainable practices has become a key priority. AFL will focus on eco-friendly practices to meet global market demands, including initiatives in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and conservation, thereby minimizing its environmental impact.

To keep pace with growing hyperscaler data center demands, AFL will expand its service presence across Europe with a new manufacturing and distribution hub based in Gliwice, Poland. This expansion complements its increased manufacturing capacity in Monterrey, MX, to serve the U.S. market and new sales and technical support offices across Mumbai and Delhi in India.

"Our new brand identity represents our deep commitment to greater customer satisfaction,” said Steve Polidan, VP of Connectivity at AFL. “As one AFL team, we look forward to a more sustainable future focused on faster innovation, seamless global resource alignment, and more rewarding customer experiences."
