Huawei’s FTTR (fiber to the room) offers a ubiquitous and seamless ultra-gigabit experience in the home. The offering delivers 2-Gbps WiFi rates and seamless roaming for large numbers of home and SME users, offering the industry's fastest rates and widest coverage available indoors, Huawei states. Operators that have deployed FTTR see an $11 increase in ARPU on average, the company adds. They also see a $10 increase in value-added services (e.g., live or on-demand video, e-sports, and online learning) sold to households that subscribe to FTTR. In addition to this, service complaints about WiFi are reduced by 65% for FTTR customers, leading to further cost savings.

Judge’s Comment: “There is definitely a need in the market for this product and I don't see anyone else addressing the need in quite the same way.”
