NTS, Inc. has launched 1-Gbps Internet service in Plainview, TX, where its fiber to the premises (FTTP) network provides the fastest speed in the region, it claims.
Guy Nissenson, president and CEO of NTS, said, "NTS is excited to bring this cutting-edge opportunity to Plainview. Residents in Plainview will be the first in the West Texas area to experience the power of a 1-Gbps Internet connection on the NTS-owned fiber network, our flagship product.
"By investing more than $130 million to build out our network, we have developed unparalleled capabilities to help meet our customers' needs in this ever-changing world where devices keep multiplying. We are ready to roll out our premier products and provide customers with reliable and ultra-fast network speeds powered by our 1-Gbps Internet service," Nissenson added.
NTS says its fiber-optic network build-out began with select markets in Texas, where the company currently provides its service in Lubbock, Levelland, Smyer, Wolfforth, Littlefield, Burkburnett, Brownfield, Whitharral, Slaton, Meadow, Wilson, Lamesa, Hale Center, Abernathy, Plainview, and Iowa Park, as well as metro builds focused on the business communities in Wichita Falls, Abilene, and Amarillo.
The operator began connecting customers in Louisiana in April 2013 (see "NTS Fiber begins FTTP expansion in Louisiana"). To date, the NTS fiber network in Louisiana serves customers in Hammond, Ponchatoula, and Amite.
