The Flash mini-OTDR speeds the overall installation of short-run fiber-optic links, including local area network cable TV and fiber to the home. Weighing 1.8 kilograms (3.5 lbs), the handheld mini-OTDR offers ghost detection and suppression, marker positioning and curve comparison. Pulsewidths range from 10 nanoseconds to 10 microseconds. The device automatically locates faults and displays traces.
