July 13, 2005 Marlboro, MA -- Fiber Optic Network Solutions (FONS), a manufacturer of passive connectivity platforms for FTTH applications, announced today that Capitol Infrastructure of North Carolina, working in conjunction with home developers, property management companies, and service providers in the Southeast U.S, is now deploying FONS' Pathways FTTH platforms in North Carolina and Florida, with expansions in several other states planned for later this year.
The FONS platforms are being deployed to enable the delivery of triple play broadband services to new single-family and multi-family homes in the Southeast. Capitol Infrastructure says it is working with developers of new communities to build all-fiber network infrastructures designed to deliver such services to community residents, with plans to deploy service capabilities to 50,000 homes. FONS is providing a range of fiber-optic connectivity hardware and optical components to accelerate construction and deployment of the community fiber-optic networks.

For the deployment, FONS is supplying its Outdoor Fiber Distribution Hubs (Outdoor FDH), RC Fiber Drop Terminals, RC Adapters, RC Fiber Drop Cables, Controlled Environment Vault Fiber Distribution Hubs (CEV FDH), and WDM and Optical Splitter Cassettes.
