According to the company, the scalable system exceeds 10-Gigabit Ethernet standards, and is 100% tested to deliver verified optical performance and reliability for improved network integrity.

May 12, 2005, Tinley Park, IL -- Panduit says its Opticom Quicknet fiber-optic cabling system enables rapid, plug-in network deployment of up to 96 fiber connections in a single rack space, while providing superior cable access and management capabilities. According to the company, the scalable system exceeds 10-Gigabit Ethernet standards, and is 100% tested to deliver verified optical performance and reliability for improved network integrity.

System components include the company's MTP series pre-terminated cassettes, interconnect patch cords, and rack-mount fiber enclosures. The modular, pre-terminated LC and SC cassettes feature high-density connectors to enable small form factor LC or SC connectivity, according to the company. The cassettes interconnect with the company's 12-fiber ribbon patch cords to enable quick connection of remote or data center segments. The rack-mount fiber enclosures feature a slide-out, tilt-down drawer to enable installation, service, and inspection capabilities.
