Go!Foton: CHT: Clamshell Hardened Terminal

Go!Foton’s Clamshell Hardened Terminal offers hardened fiber terminal functionality using off-the-shelf components. It is compatible with standard fiber drop cables and connectors, including all widely available OSP-rated flat or round drop cables and connectors including LC, SC, and MPO, as well as new connector types such as the SN, CS, and MDC. The CHT is mountable on strand, wooden, and concealed poles, and wall, pedestal, and underground mounts such as in handhole and manhole environments.

Judge’s Comment: “Interesting idea – harden the terminal instead of the connector. This would be very interesting to some people I have talked to who balk at the idea of hardened connectors for their large size and costs.”
