DASAN Networks said it has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with TDF (Telediffusion de France SAS)to provide equipment for the deployment of its optical fiber to the home infrastructure (FTTH). The agreement, which encompasses DASANs Korean partners, covers 5 years of deployment in French territories.

In the past 18 months, TDF was awarded public tenders to deploy, operate, and sell to customers more than 700,000 FTTH ports, in areas of France with dispersed populations, DASAN affirms. TDF currently partners with French telecom operators such as Orange, Bouygues Telecom, and Free, along with what DASAN termed "all television channels," including TNT and Digital Terrestrial Television. DASAN expects the agreement with TDF will enable it to strengthen its position in France

DASAN Networks is the Korean holding company of DASAN Group, and has five key global affiliates, including broadband equipment supplier DASAN Zhone Solutions. DASAN Zhone Solutions formed in 2016 through the merger of DASAN Network Solutions Inc. merger and Zhone Technologies (see "Zhone Technologies, DASAN Network Solutions complete merger to form DASAN Zhone Solutions"). The combined company offers systems for broadband access, Ethernet switching, mobile backhaul, passive optical LAN, and software-defined network (SDN) applications.
