Magnalink selects Motorola FTTH and IPTV technologies

SEPTEMBER 9, 2009 -- Magnalink has chosen the Motorola Home & Networks Mobility's GPON and IPTV products to deliver ultrabroadband services to municipalities within the city of Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic.

SEPTEMBER 9, 2009 -- Magnalink has chosen the Motorola Home & Networks Mobility's GPON and IPTV products to deliver ultrabroadband services to municipalities within the city of Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic.

Motorola says the new GPON FTTH network will enable delivery of personalized media experiences while supporting fast Internet access and advanced IPTV services including quality high-definition (HD) television programming available to consumers.

Working with solutions provider KonekTel, Motorola has supplied Magnalink with key products from its FTTH and IPTV portfolios.

"Driven by high-quality HD content and social media networking, consumers are demanding higher-speed broadband connections and more personalized video services. Our GPON solutions enable service providers such as Magnalink to enter new markets and offer differentiated services, and we are excited to announce progress in our roll-out of GPON FTTH solutions in Europe," says Joe Cozzolino, senior vice president and general manager of access networks solutions at Motorola Home and Networks Mobility.
