JANUARY 24, 2008 -- Network operator and distributor Cascade Networks will distribute Alloptic's GEPON and MicroNode products within its service range.

JANUARY 24, 2008 -- Alloptic (search for Alloptic) today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Cascade Networks of Longview, WA. As a network operator and distributor, Cascade Networks will distribute Alloptic's GEPON (search for GEPON) and MicroNode products within its service region.

"Unlike other distributors, our first experience with Alloptic's products were actually deploying and running their equipment in our own network," reports Brian Magnuson, president of Cascade Networks. "We have been very impressed with their GEPON solution, and since we are beginning to get interest from customers in their MicroNode solution, we mutually agreed to add their products to our Last Mile Gear portfolio of products," he says. "Our feeling is that Alloptic's solutions fit nicely as a backhaul solution for the wireless products we offer as well as a standalone fiber solution."

Alloptic develops and deploys RF over glass (search for RFoG) and passive optical networking technology for CATV, telecom, and private network operators worldwide. Alloptic claims to offer the widest portfolio of products for fiber access networks.

"We are pleased to deepen our relationship with Cascade Networks," adds Shane Eleniak, vice president of marketing and business development for Alloptic. "We feel that it speaks volumes for our product when a customer is so pleased that they want to be a distributor."
