JANUARY 9, 2008 "Around the world, operators have proven that Ethernet-based access solutions provide greater flexibility and superior operational costs over other technologies on the market," contends Shane Eleniak, Alloptics' vice president of marketing and business development.

JANUARY 9, 2008 -- Alloptic (search for Alloptic) has been select by Riffa Views, a distinguished master planned development in Bahrain, to provide its Gigabit Ethernet passive optical network (search for GEPON) equipment. Designed to create one of the most sought-after property locations in the region, Riffa Views will offer its residents a world-class communications, entertainment, and security infrastructure, say company representatives.

"Riffa Views is a truly unique community," contends Richard Browning, CEO of Riffa Views Property Development Company. "Designed for native Bahrainis as well as ex-patriots, the community is designed to provide a living experience like no other in the region. Key to delivering that experience is the infrastructure, so we turned to the global leader in fiber access solutions: Alloptic."

Riffa Views is a residential development with the first of 1,000 villas ready for delivery to their new owners by mid-2008. The $625-million project is due for overall completion by mid-2009. Riffa Views features three prestigious Signature Estates--The Oasis, The Lagoons and The Park--all beautifully landscaped around the 18-hole Colin Montgomerie Signature golf course. Modern amenities are set to enhance living standards, including a shopping mall, a luxury hotel, and an international school.

"Alloptic is pleased to be supplying Riffa Views with a state-of-art access solution," notes Shane Eleniak, vice president of marketing and business development for Alloptic. "Large scale Greenfield developments like Riffa Views continue to turn to Alloptic for a GEPON access solution. Around the world," he says, "operators have proven that Ethernet-based access solutions provide greater flexibility and superior operational costs over other technologies on the market."
