VICTOR, NEW YORK  August 8, 2018 – Bristol Instruments, Inc., the leader in laser wavelength measurement technology, announces higher performance of its model 871B Laser Wavelength Meter. This system now provides a higher measurement rate, greater sensitivity, and better wavelength resolution.

The 871B Laser Wavelength Meter uses a unique Fizeau etalon design to measure the wavelength of both pulsed and CW lasers to an accuracy of ± 0.75 parts per million (± 0.0008 nm @ 1000 nm). These measurements are made in real-time, at a sustained measurement rate of 1 kHz. This enables the wavelength analysis of every single laser pulse of most lasers. What’s more, the system’s time resolution of 1 ms provides the most detailed characterization of tunable lasers and the fastest feedback for laser wavelength stabilization.

“Bristol Instruments is committed to the continuous improvement of its products,” said Dr. Brian Samoriski, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We strive to ensure that our wavelength meter and spectrum analyzer products are able to help provide researchers with the most meaningful experimental results.”

About Bristol Instruments

Since its founding in 2005, Bristol Instruments has solely focused on designing, manufacturing, and marketing precision instruments using its expertise in optical interferometry. Bristol’s flagship products accurately characterize the wavelength and spectral properties of lasers used by scientists and engineers at universities and government and industrial laboratories. They are also used for the development and production testing of laser transmitters used in optical fiber communications. In addition, Bristol Instruments provides interferometer-based products to reliably measure critical physical dimensions of materials such as specialty plastic films, medical tubing, and ophthalmic products.

Bristol Instruments is headquartered in Victor, New York. For more information, visit www.bristol-inst.com or call at (585) 924-2620.
