High-Density Optical Transceiver Testing With The BERT-1102 PXIe Module From Quantifi Photonics

Aug. 18, 2022
To perform the many tests required for 400G optical transceivers and optical communication devices, manufacturers need test solutions capable of rapidly performing mass parallel testing. Quantifi Photonics' BERT-1102 offers 8 lanes of 29Gbaud PAM4 in a dual-slot PXIe module and the ability to scale to 64 channels in a single PXI chassis, and up to 512 channels by chaining 8 chassis together. With a built-in, distributed clock, the PAM4 BERT reduces cabling and maintains an incredibly small, streamlined footprint. With our PXI-based 29Gbaud PAM4 BERT-1102, new high-channel-density power meters, and new optical switches designed for high number of channels, we are helping transceiver manufacturers break through traditional optical testing bottlenecks by providing high-density test solutions in open, scalable formats.
