Unite Private Networks expands Dallas fiber-optic network footprint
Fiber-optic network services provider Unite Private Networks (UPN) says it has expanded its reach in Dallas, TX. The new fiber cable infrastructure runs through the Central Plano Business District, including Legacy Business Park and the new CityLine development.
UPN says the new routes leverage Corning SMF-28e+ optical fiber to help support 100-Gbps DWDM wavelengths.
"With the recent insurgent of high-tech companies and data centers relocating to the area, we targeted Richardson and Plano knowing businesses will need more advanced connectivity options," said Steve Hartman, vice president of content at Unite Private Networks. "UPN is providing a communications bridge to the future for established suburban communities like Richardson and Plano with our suite of services that includes dark fiber, Internet, and metro Ethernet products. Additionally, we continue to service local content delivery providers, carriers, enterprise customers and large data centers by supporting their expanding demand for big bandwidth."
The new Dallas link comes after the company earlier this year announced that it had connected its network to Infomart Data Centers' Dallas facility, located at 1950 N. Stemmons Freeway.
