Carrier-neutral network services provider DYXnet Group says it has built a 10-Gbps backbone ring in its home country of China that connects such cities as Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Taipei.

The company adds its internet and network points of presence (PoPs) now exceed 200 in 57 cities throughout China, Vietnam, and Singapore. That total includes two PoPs each in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Suzhou, and Taipei. DYXnet also has western expansion plans, with PoP deployments targeted for Silicon Valley and Frankfurt, Germany, in the next 6 to 12 months.

The expansion comes on the heels of the company's 2016 merger with 21Vianet's Content Centric Internet Backbone (CCIB) unit. Established in 1999, DYXnet Group offers Multiprotocol Label Switching Virtual Private Network (MPLS VPN), internet access, data center, unified communication, and network security services to enterprise clients. DYXnet says it has internet peering arrangements with 240 global carriers, internet exchanges, and "well-known enterprises."
