TWCBC says its network now connects to Equinix facilities "at key locations across the country" to provide access to the Equinix Cloud Exchange. The operator will supply Ethernet connections at rates from 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps, depending upon available capacity and the targeted public cloud service provider's requirements.

"The demand for secure and high-capacity connectivity to cloud providers continues to increase as businesses migrate to the cloud to take advantage of the cost, agility, and adaptability of cloud services," said Satya Parimi, GVP, product management, at TWCBC. "TWCBC already offers secure and reliable Ethernet connectivity to our NaviSite cloud platform. With the announcement today, we can now meet connectivity requirements for customers who use another cloud service providers to meet their IT needs."

TWCBC says it serves more than 700,000 business customers throughout Time Warner Cable's service footprint.
