On January 13, CoreWeave announced that two of its United Kingdom data centers have reached operational status.
The first data center, developed in partnership with Digital Realty and located in Crawley, England, went online in October 2024; the second center, developed with Global Switch and located in London Docklands, went live in December 2024. Both centers, reports the company, are entirely powered by renewable energy.
According to CoreWeave, both sites will host NVIDIA AI platform deployments powered by NVIDIA H200 GPUs and scaled with NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand networking.
Mike Mattacola, chief business officer at CoreWeave, said that opening its first data centers in the U.K. marked a significant milestone for the company.
“The U.K. is an important market for CoreWeave, with our European headquarters here and further operational plans for the country,” said Mattacola in a press release. “We are pleased to be partnering with Digital Realty and Global Switch to deliver the next generation of AI infrastructure in the U.K.”
CoreWeave plans to open 10 new data centers in 2025.
