Duos Technologies to develop four high-density data centers in Pampa, Texas
On December 19, Jacksonville, Florida-based Duos Technologies Group, Inc. announced that its operating subsidiaries Duos Edge AI, Inc. and Duos Energy Corp. have entered into a partnership with the Pampa Economic Development Corporation (Pampa EDC) to develop four 50MW high-density data centers (HDDCs) at Pampa EDC’s industrial park: the Pampa Energy Center (PEC) in Pampa, Texas.
Duos reports that Duos Edge AI will optimize project deployments and operations and deliver custom infrastructure solutions while Duos Energy will, through a partnership with Fortress Investment Group, provide up to 500MW of natural gas self-generation, in combination with wind energy and other alternative fuel sources.
Duos Edge AI founder and president Doug Recker said the project will help alleviate the shortfall in data center supply while bolstering the local economy.
“We’re excited to help set Pampa on an innovative path forward and create new jobs and economic development in the region through this collaboration,” said Recker in a press release.
Glennette Goode, president of the Pampa Energy Center, echoed the sentiment, saying that the partnership will transform Pampa, Texas, into a hub of connectivity, innovation, and economic strength.
“Our board has long focused on the need to diversify our commercial and industrial base,” said Goode. “Located in the central United States and within the heart of the wind energy sector, we are poised for significant economic growth. This partnership is the first step in a journey to long-term prosperity in Pampa, Texas.”
The first PEC HDDC is planned to be online by the end of 2025.
