Legrand now offers the Infinium XFC Series Fiber Enclosure System, a rack-mount enclosure designed to keep pace with the needs of rapidly growing data centers thanks to its modular architecture.

The elements of the XFC Series offer an interchangeable drawer face that that can accommodate both very high (e.g., 144 LC fibers in 1 RU) and comparatively lower densities (e.g., 72 LC fibers in 1 RU). The enclosures support both LC and MPO fiber-optic connectors via adapter panels and cassettes for customers that prefer to use patch cords.

"The new XFC Series Fiber Enclosure System helps companies future-proof their data center physical infrastructure by providing a rack-mount solution that gives them flexible scaling along with operational efficiency and simplicity," said Michael Wood, Legrand's product manager for Infinium Fiber Solutions. "This is an infrastructure solution that supports the needs of both new equipment and new architecture, allowing connectivity to be added or changed, for fiber or copper media, as needed."

Additional features include:

  • Availability in 1U, 2U, 3U, and 4U sizes
  • A mixed-media option that supports copper (Categories 5e, 6, 6a) and fiber (LC duplex, SC, and MTP fiber modules)
  • The ability to add modules as needed for either media type
  • Coverage by a third-party verified EPD registered through the PEPecopassport Program.

The XFC Series Fiber Enclosure System is available immediately.
