Rogers Communications boost business services play with Internetworking Atlantic acquisition
Rogers Communications (TSX: RCI.A and RCI.B; NYSE: RCI) says it has acquired Internetworking Atlantic Inc. (IAI), a provider of business and public sector services in Atlantic Canada. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The purchase improves Rogers's business services delivery capabilities in the Atlantic region of the country. In particular, it will boost its ability to offer cloud computing, data center, fiber-optic network, and professional services. Its newly acquired assets include a data center in Halifax, local virtual and hosted services capabilities, a team of professional services experts, and additional fiber-optic cable infrastructure.

"The expertise IAI provides in data center services, cloud solutions, and fiber networking will benefit businesses from large to small.
