MetroNet Communications Corp. (Calgary, AB, Canada) extended its agreement with Nortel Networks

MetroNet Communications Corp. (Calgary, AB, Canada) extended its agreement with Nortel Networks (Brampton, ON, Canada) to purchase at least $200 million worth of access, high-capacity and local transport optical equipment, and switching systems over the next three years. MetroNet has fiber-optic networks in major business centers across Canada and is deploying a national fiber-optic network connecting these centers and key border crossings into the United States.
