AFL Network Services announces North Star acquisition

JUNE 30, 2008 -- AFL representatives say the North Star acquisition not only expands the company's footprint into Alabama, Mississippi, California, and Nevada, but also enhances its service offering with North Star's expertise in outside plant engineering.

JUNE 30, 2008 -- AFL Network Services Inc. (search for AFL Network Services) is expanding its telecommunications services business with the acquisition of the assets and related business of North Star Communications Group Inc., currently headquartered in Birmingham, AL. The acquisition not only develops AFL's footprint into Alabama, Mississippi, California, and Nevada, but also enhances its service offering with North Star's expertise in outside plant engineering, say AFL representatives.
