28 August 2003 Morganville, NJ Lightwave -- Krell Technologies has introduced the SpecMap family of fiber-optic interferometers, which feature advanced non-contacting optics with high-speed data acquisition and analysis.

All critical surface geometries are measured for single fiber connectors and multi-fiber arrays containing up to 72 fibers. According to the company, SpecMap's superior vibration insensitivity and autofocus operation guarantees accurate and repeatable measurements under all environmental conditions. SpecMap can be controlled via laptop, and its compact package makes it ideal for testing in the field.
