AUGUST 21, 2007 -- AFOP has announced that its SC/UPC, LC/UPC, and LC/APC pigtails have successfully completed Independent Test Laboratory (ITL) qualification to the rigorous GR-326 requirements.

AUGUST 21, 2007 -- Alliance Fiber Optic Products Inc. (search for Alliance Fiber Optic Products), a supplier of fiber-optic components, subsystems, and integrated modules for the optical network equipment market, has announced that its SC/UPC, LC/UPC, and LC/APC pigtails have successfully completed Independent Test Laboratory (ITL) qualification to the rigorous GR-326 requirements. The company's filter WDM modules also successfully completed GR 1209 and GR 1221 qualification recently. These add to the SC/APC pigtail GR-326 qualification already completed last year.

"Our FOC (fiber-optic component) qualification efforts have resulted in many opportunities related to the FiOS network deployed by Verizon. We believe the investment in third-party qualifications of our connectivity and passive products is a sound investment for AFOP's future. As additional carriers or CATV/broadband players look to engage in FTTX deployments, AFOP will be well positioned to gain increasing market share," says Peter Chang, president and chief executive officer of AFOP.
