Jiangsu Telecom deploys Lynx-Putian's LightLEADER protection systems
SEPTEMBER 5, 2006 -- Nanjing Putian, a major vendor to the Chinese telecommunications industry, and Lynx Photonic Networks (search Lynx Photonic Networks), provider of network-availability and business-continuity equipment, today announced the deployment of their co-branded LightLEADER protection systems at Jiangsu Telecom.
The Lynx protection systems will provide Jiangsu Telecom with guaranteed protection of its critical DWDM backbone within less then 10 milliseconds of a link failure.
"Our backbone carries critical communication traffic and cannot tolerate any failures," explains Cao Shun Xiang, deputy director of Jiangsu Telecom. "We have been looking for protection systems that will provide the high level of network availability that our customers deserve. Lynx-Putian's LightLEADER systems, we believe, will meet these stringent requirements, and we anticipate great improvement in our service quality."
