Securities firm taps RCN

JANUARY 8, 2009 -- Ballista Securities, operator of the new Ballista ATS for block options and delta neutral orders, will be using RCN Metro Optical Networks' Ethernet network to connect to the major trading floors in New York and Chicago.

JANUARY 8, 2009 -- Ballista Securities, operator of the new Ballista ATS for block options and delta neutral orders, will be using RCN Metro Optical Networks' (search for RCN) Ethernet network to connect to the major trading floors in New York and Chicago. RCN Metro Optical Networks is a division of RCN Corp.

Ballista Securities operates an alternative trading system for delta neutral transactions and block equity options trades. RCN says that Ballista's selection of a service provider was based in particular on service speed and reliability.
