According to Dell'Oro Group, the Optical Transport Market (including DWDM - Long Haul, DWDM - Metro and SONET/SDH) declined 22 percent Q/Q with revenues of $4.8 billion in 1Q01. Sales of DWDM systems supporting 10 Gbps transmission rates were down considerably in the first quarter, while unit sales of SONET/SDH Multiplexers running at rates below 10 Gbps increased Q/Q.
