3 March 2003 -- Four months after its management buyout, PAV is progressing its development plans. MD Chris Emerson says the company is consolidating its "leading" position in the free space optics (FSO) field.

PAV Data Systems claims to have has led the FSO marketplace for 10 years. With a network of offices in the UK, Middle East, Asia and Africa, the company operates through an established distribution channel of quality re-sellers, and has installations in over 60 countries.

The company aims to build on the success of its product range, including the PAVLight, which provides scalable bandwidths (1.54Mbit/s to 1Gbit/s), and uses a modular architecture cost effectively. Designed to provide high speed, broadband, wireless connections, PAVLight systems can be installed and running in hours.

Emerson said, "We are committed to broadening the technology and growing the market. PAV is now in a stronger position to meet the demands of this dynamic industry."
