Marconi has signed a framework agreement with Tele Danmark potentially worth up to £20 million over three years.

Tele Danmark is one of five major telcos in the liberalized Danish market and currently has over 90% market penetration. The Marconi SDH technology will provide a key component of Tele Danmark's 10-Gbit/sec network layer.

Marconi will supply Tele Danmark with STM-64 multiplexers and crossconnects from its MSH series to supplement the large number of Marconi SDH multiplexers that have been installed in the Tele Danmark network over the last four years. The entire system will be managed by Marconi's MV36 management system.

Installation will be carried out by Tele Danmark engineers backed by Marconi, which will also provide on-going support. Marconi is already training Tele Danmark personnel at its technical center in Genoa, Italy.
