France Telecom selects Atrica's optical Ethernet system for initial rollout of new Ethernet-based services

France Telecom has already begun customer trials with services geared towards enterprise clients in the Paris area. After an evaluation of equipment offerings, France Telecom decided to move forward with the Atrica metro solution, which includes the A-2100 Ethernet access product, the A-8000 core optical Ethernet switch and the ASPEN management platform. It supports standards-based 10-Gigabit Ethernet over fiber with advanced traffic engineering and management.
