25 October 2002 -- ITF Optical Technologies Inc., St Laurent, QC, Canada, a manufacturer and designer of advanced photonic processing solutions is to buy certain business assets of Resonance Photonics (RPI), including equipment and access to intellectual property.

25 October 2002 -- ITF Optical Technologies Inc., St Laurent, QC, Canada, a manufacturer and designer of advanced photonic processing solutions is to buy certain business assets of Resonance Photonics (RPI), including equipment and access to intellectual property.

Resonance Photonics, Markham, Ontario is a privately-held company that specializes in advanced photonics components for use in next-generation fibre amplifier and laser modules. Its range includes high performance multimode power combiners with applications in industry, medical, military, and telecommunications.

"As part of the objective to expand our product offering, we do an ongoing search of companies offering complementary solutions to our own," stated Eric Geoffrion, President and CEO of ITF. "Acquiring these RPI assets gives us the additional products, expanded global customer base, and the market reach to position ITF as a worldwide provider of high power multimode solutions. This acquisition strengthens ITF's overall position as a global manufacturer and designer of advanced photonic processing solutions."
