The company owns a Lucent Technologies` 5ESS switch in downtown Nashville that will handle all voice and data traffic on its 40-mi fiber-optic network. The Tennessee Regulatory Authority approved icg`s tariff in May, making the company a fully competitive local exchange carrier in the state market. icg provides local, long-distance, and enhanced telephony services in Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas.
